A Strategic Partnership Forged: Shenzhen Cell Valley and Hefei Innovation Institute Embark on a New Journey
On September 9, 2025, a delegation from Shenzhen Cell Valley, led by its Chairman Professor Shi Yuanyuan, and including Marketing Director Sun Rui and Project Manager Wang Wenjuan, visited the Hefei Innovation Institute. They were warmly received by senior leaders of the Institute, including Wu Jiameng, Deputy Director (presiding over work) of the Stem Cell Engineering Technology R&D Center, Deputy General Manager Wang Pinlong, Liu Kaicheng, Director of the Clinical Enterprise Department, and Zhang Xuhan, Director of the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the First Affiliated Hospital of USTC. The two parties held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony.
This collaboration aims to establish a win-win and sustainable strategic partnership through close cooperation, enabling complementary advantages in resources and jointly contributing to the advancement of the cell and gene industry in Anhui Province and the Yangtze River Delta region.
During their visit, Professor Shi Yuanyuan and his delegation toured the Institute's exhibition hall. Deputy General Manager Wang Pinlong provided a detailed overview, highlighting the laboratory facilities dedicated to the life sciences and health industry.
Subsequently, the two parties formally signed the strategic cooperation agreement and held an in-depth exchange meeting. Professor Shi Yuanyuan elaborated on the development trends within the cell and gene therapy sector, the company's strategic positioning and layout, as well as major breakthroughs in production, R&D, and scientific/clinical applications. Director Wu Jiameng expressed his hope that the collaboration with Shenzhen Cell Valley Bio-Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. would lead to the joint establishment of a leading regional cell preparation center in China, facilitating the industrial development of the biopharmaceutical sector and benefiting a broader population.
The signing of this strategic cooperation agreement marks a significant step forward in resource sharing, complementary advantages, and the deep integration of industry, academia, and research. Shenzhen Cell Valley will provide comprehensive support to the Hefei Innovation Institute in establishing the cell preparation center. Both parties are committed to applying advanced cell therapy technologies in clinical treatments, with the goal of providing patients with more effective therapeutic solutions and cell products.
